JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in manufacturing, with the ability to work effectively with various materials and tools. This role is essential in ensuring that components are assembled accurately and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our projects.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand pneumatic drawings.
  • Familiarity with basic maths for accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Experience in assembly processes within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • TIG welding advantageous.

Responsibilities
  • Assembly of robotic automation, palletising, and case management production equipment.
  • Assembly, alignment, and adjustment of conveyor systems.
  • Testing and commissioning of mechanical and pneumatic equipment.
  • Supporting on-site; installation, servicing, breakdown, and repair of production equipment.
  • Utilise hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to assemble components as per specifications.
  • Conduct metal work tasks, including drilling, thread cutting, bending, and cutting materials as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve assembly processes.
  • Carry out mechanical assembly tasks, ensuring all components are set up and adjusted to correctly function as intended.
