Due to a recent internal movement, we are looking for an Area Specialist - Mechanical to join our Packaging Department Can Line Team.
This is a Permanent full-time position based in Lidcombe. The regular hours will be Monday to Friday, 6am–2pm, with the flexibility to occasionally step in on afternoon or night shifts to support our Shift Trades team.
Reporting to Area Engineer ,you will be responsible for ensuring the ongoing reliability of our packaging assets across our site and supporting the delivery of production rates through minimising waste events related to machine efficiency on-site.
Our Brewery is also embarking on exciting new initiatives and projects. Some of these have already been brought to life, including the use of automated vehicles to support the packaging process and harnessing new technologies to make our team’s life at work easier – our Brewery is more than just beer!

SOME OF THE SKILLS YOU WILL BRING:

  • Mechanical trade qualification.
  • Any experience working on beverage, packaging, robotics or processing equipment would be highly regarded.
  • Decision-making in ambiguous situations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop specialist technical skills in equipment and use those for troubleshooting and improvements.
  • Providing mechanical technical guidance to shift trades and production teams. Reliability & Improvement projects and problem-solving to optimise production and minimise downtime.
  • Supervising contractors attending the site for equipment maintenance.
  • Champion a safety-first culture across the Brewery.
