JOB VACANCY – MECHANICAL FITTER / WELDER

Basic Pay Range: £25,000 - £32,000 pa(£13.35/hr - £17/hr) (excluding benefits)
Plus overtime etc (expected to be £8,500 pa.)
Status: Permanent Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Full Time (36 hours) Standard working week Monday to Thursday 08:30-16:30,
Friday 08:30-15:00 (36 hrs).
Overtime opportunities: This role requires some evening / weekend
working (at enhanced hourly rates).
Location: Movetech UK’s Head Office in Bolton (BL3 5BW)
Driving licence: Full driving licence required.
Holidays: 33 days (inc. 8 bank holidays) as standard with facilities to purchase more.
Pension: Company contribution of 4% of basic pay (after 6 months’ probation).

1. Fabrication and welding.
2. Mechanical Assembly
3. Pneumatic Assembly
4. Electrical Assembly
5. Site installations on customer / construction sites.
6. Mechanical installation / derig of rental equipment.
7. Service & maintenance of equipment in the factory and on customer sites.
8. Driving & staying away from home on occasion duration between 1 & 14 days
9. Ensuring all work is completed in a safe manner and according to current health and safety regulations and safe working practices / working standards.
10. Ensuring all work is undertaken to a high quality.
    Essential skills, experience / requirements
11. NVQ LVL 3 – Equivalent.
12. Welding Experience – MIG / MMA.
13. Previous experience of Engineering.
14. Previous experience working on Construction sites.
15. Full driving license.
16. Physically fit as manual handling is required.
17. Technically minded with a good engineering understanding.
18. Ability to problem solve.
19. Excellent time keeping and attendance.
20. Experience / knowledge of using hand / power tools.
21. Willing to travel to sites across the UK - working away from home.
22. Strong attention to detail.
23. Confident and able to work on own initiative.
24. Good team working and interpersonal skills.
25. Excellent standards of workmanship with adherence to Health and Safety.
26. A keenness to learn and develop with a positive approach to work.
