REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • 1-2 years experience working within the Mining, Resources & Energy sector.
  • Ability to work shift work (Day/Night/Weekends).
  • Possess formal Trade Qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter & Turner, Maintenance Fitter, Plant Mechanic, Diesel Fitter, Rotating Equipment Technician, or Fitter and Machinist.
  • Flange Management Training (advantageous).
  • Working at Heights certificate (within 2 years - essential).
  • Confined Space Entry certificate (within 2 years - essential).
  • Gas Test Atmosphere (within 2 years – essential)
  • Breathing Apparatus certificate (desirable).
  • Current Drivers License (highly desirable).
  • High Risk Work License (advantageous).
  • White Card.
  • Full Australian work rights.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to the continued growth of the business and a busy year ahead, we are hiring Mechanical Fitters to join our team for upcoming projects across various sites within the Oil and Gas, Mining, Heavy Industry, and Energy sectors. Point of Hire is open to all Capital cities within Australia including Perth Western Australia, Adelaide South Australia, Melbourne Victoria, Sydney New south Wales, Brisbane Queensland, or Darwin Northern Territory.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO

  • Flange Management - Hy-Torque and Tensioning.
  • Heat Exchanger maintenance services.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and P&ID’s.
  • Dealing with hazardous materials.
  • Assisting other disciplines with alternative scope outside of mechanical works.
  • Ability to work within a team environment while capable of working unsupervised.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to Work Health and Safety including participating in safety documentation requirements.
