NEPEAN Belting is expanding! With major new contracts underway, we’re looking for experienced Underground Coal Mechanical Fitters to join our Outbye/Project crews on a permanent basis. Supported by our strong Mackay-based team, you’ll work in a safety-first environment on challenging and rewarding projects.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

Mechanical Trade Certificate (Fitting & Machining / Maintenance Fitting)
Underground coal mining experience (essential)
Current Standard 11 – UG
Coal Board Medical (within last 5 years)
UG Coal Skills Matrix or competencies (within last 5 years)
Proven experience with underground machinery and fixed plant maintenance
Strong knowledge of conveyor systems, hydraulics, and gearboxes
Ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain underground mechanical equipment
Commitment to safety and compliance with mining regulations
Reliable with strong teamwork and communication skills
