Job Description
The Mechanical Floor Supervisor will report to the Business Unit Manager and ensure that their team delivers it’s weekly allocated works safely, with flawless quality, while also meeting the productivity output required from each member of the team.
In this role, you would be required to develop trusted relationships with clients and become the King and Moffatt contact that is recognised by clients Project Managers and representatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience of supervising a busy engineering/manufacturing floor.
  • Successful mechanical background and the ability to set standards and lead by example.
  • People management experience.
  • Ability to read, understand and relay information from drawings.
  • Ability to “think outside the box” and excellent problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer literate with exceptional interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Role model safe behaviour and insist on adherence to all safety requirements by all K&M personnel on site.
  • Work with the Business Unit Manager & Contracts Manager to understand hours available for each section of work and pass this along to the applicable team.
  • Ensure that teams are working as productively as possible and are always looking for ways to improve.
  • Liaise with other colleagues working in the same area to ensure that all works are coordinated, and that work can be carried of safely and productively.
  • Oversee and sign off on SPAs and associated documentation to ensure the safe and productive workings of your team.
  • Assist with ordering of material for projects and following up that the materials arrive in on time.
  • Ensure delivery ledgers are filled out before anything leaves the Off-site facility.
  • On site delivery and compliance to EHSQ requirements; Toolbox talks; RAMS; PPE and all other safety requirements.
  • Ensure all relevant permits are in place.
  • Complete weekly report to the Business Unit Manager.
  • Monitor daily labour tracking sheets.
  • Ensure no work deemed to be outside your scope of work proceeds without written instruction.
  • Oversee the completion and signoff of all works carried out.
  • Liaise with the test and Handover/Quality teams to close out and sign off completed works.
  • Ensure that you understand the training requirements of members of your team, and that they attend.
  • Work with key personnel in the client’s team to deliver good relationships, ensuring repeat business into the future.
