JOB SUMMARY:

The Mechanical Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating mechanical works on construction sites, ensuring that all mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, etc.) are installed, maintained, and repaired according to project specifications, safety standards, and timelines.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the UAE construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems used in high-rise and commercial buildings.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with UAE safety and construction regulations.
  • Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic project management tools.
  • Physical fitness to work on-site and supervise field operations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • UAE driving license.
  • Experience with DEWA, DM, or Civil Defense-approved projects.
  • Knowledge of green building standards (LEED, Estidama) is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage daily activities of mechanical technicians and subcontractors.
  • Interpret and implement mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire fighting).
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Coordinate with project engineers, site supervisors, and other trades.
  • Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and manpower deployment.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical issues promptly.
  • Train and mentor junior staff and ensure team productivity.
  • Participate in project planning and progress meetings.
