Job Description The Mechanical (HVAC) Source Inspection & Quality Control Engineer is responsible for assuring the quality, performance, and compliance of critical mechanical systems and equipment prior to shipment from supplier and manufacturing facilities. This role is essential in safeguarding the reliability and efficiency of HVAC infrastructure that underpins mission-critical environments such as data centers. Through detailed inspection, testing oversight, and quality surveillance, the engineer verifies that all mechanical equipment—such as chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, and piping systems—is manufactured, assembled, and tested in accordance with approved specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. Execute inspection activities across: Pre-production (design review, material verification, supplier readiness) In-process (fabrication, assembly, welding, pressure testing) FAT and functional testing (performance verification, controls integration) Pre-shipment inspections (preservation, packing, tagging, documentation) Verify compliance with: Approved drawings, datasheets, and specifications ITPs / QCPs ASME, ISO, AHRI, and other relevant standards Client and project requirements Witness pressure tests, leak tests, performance tests, and balancing procedures. Identify non-conformities and ensure timely resolution. Ensure correct documentation, including test reports, certificates, and O&M manuals. Collaborate with commissioning teams and project stakeholders. Qualifications Degree or HND/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. 10–15 years’ experience in HVAC systems for mission-critical facilities (data centers, hospitals, labs). Strong experience with vendor inspections and manufacturing processes. Knowledge of chilled water systems, air distribution systems, and mechanical controls. Familiarity with FAT procedures and commissioning requirements. Certifications in QA/QC or mechanical inspection are desirable. Additional Information Why Join Us?
