Description Delmar Systems is seeking a skilled hydraulic / mechanical Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, inspecting, and reporting on Delmar’s proprietary RAR Plus units and associated equipment, including hydraulic service units and special tooling for assembly and disassembly of RAR Plus units. The RAR Plus system integrates hydraulic, mechanical, and electronic components. Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided. This position is based at our Broussard, LA facility but will have opportunties for international travel to our locations in Norway, the United Kingdom, and Australia as necessary. Duties: o Servicing RAR Plus units and associated equipment. o Keep inventory of consumables and tools. o Diagnose and report on RAR Plus units. o Assist Systems Supervisor with renewing certification of RAR Plus units. o Travel internationally when needed. Requirements Competency Requirements: Education o Minimum - High school Diploma or GED equivalent o Preferred -Trade or Technical College – Industrial Mechanics Technology or similar. Experience and Training- o Mechanical - 3 years o Hydraulics - 3 years o Some Electronics - preferred o Familiar with Microsoft word and excel. Soft Skills o Ability to work with others in an efficient manner. o Self-motivated o Good organizational skills o Good problem-solving skills o Good management skills o Good communication skills Hard Skills o Practice safe use of power tools. o Properly disassemble and reassemble hydraulic equipment and replacement parts. o Ability to read and apply technical manuals for repair. o Apply basic computer skills. o Understand and apply preventative maintenance procedures. o Understand how to read and diagnose electrical and mechanical schematics and systems. o Apply basic knowledge of hydraulic systems. Responsibilities
