Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Mechanical Inspector to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of mechanical systems and equipment across our operations. Working collaboratively with engineering teams and project stakeholders, you will conduct comprehensive inspections, verify adherence to design specifications, and maintain meticulous documentation of all findings. Your analytical expertise and commitment to excellence will help us maintain the highest standards of mechanical integrity and regulatory compliance. Conduct routine mechanical inspections and field assessments to verify compliance with design specifications, engineering standards, and applicable codes and regulations Analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand project requirements and establish inspection criteria Utilize measurement tools, testing equipment, and inspection instruments to assess mechanical systems, equipment performance, and structural integrity Perform quantity tracking and take-off estimations for mechanical components and systems with precision and accuracy Document and report installed quantities, inspection findings, and any deviations from design requirements with transparency and professionalism Identify and report deficiencies, non-conformances, or safety concerns in a timely manner to relevant stakeholders Collaborate with engineering teams, contractors, and project managers to resolve identified issues and implement corrective actions Maintain organized and detailed inspection records, reports, and documentation using inspection software and digital documentation systems for quality assurance purposes Verify adherence to mechanical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements specific to the Saudi Arabian market Communicate inspection results clearly through written reports and verbal briefings to diverse stakeholder groups Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing analytical feedback on inspection processes and findings Demonstrate commitment to safety protocols and best practices throughout all inspection activities Qualifications Mechanical Engineering degree. Minimum 10 years of proven experience performing mechanical inspections, quality assurance, or field inspection duties Solid knowledge of basic engineering principles, mechanical systems, and mechanical equipment Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications Demonstrated experience with measurement tools, testing equipment, and inspection instruments Strong organizational and documentation skills with the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach Proficiency with inspection software or digital documentation systems Experience performing quantity tracking and take-off estimations Strong knowledge of quality control and quality assurance processes Certification in mechanical inspection or related technical discipline (preferred) Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to work both independently and collaboratively under direct supervision Experience working in the Middle Eastern market or Saudi Arabian context (preferred) Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams Strong commitment to safety compliance and regulatory adherence Ability to interpret and apply mechanical codes and industry standards Additional Information About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
