Description

NASEC Dubai is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Mechanical Inspector with strong site experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring 5–7 years of UAE-based experience with a reputable engineering consultancy and demonstrate deep knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and suppliers. You will be responsible for ensuring quality, compliance, and coordination of mechanical works on site in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of site-based experience as a Mechanical Inspector or similar role, preferably within Dubai/UAE.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, installation techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Familiarity with UAE authority approvals, codes, and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools and documentation/reporting software.
  • Valid UAE driving license and access to a personal vehicle.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily site inspections to monitor mechanical works and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Identify and document non-conformances and coordinate with the project team to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Assist the Project Manager and Senior MEP Engineers in managing on-site mechanical operations.
  • Review and provide input on contractor submittals, including shop drawings, IRs, MIRs, method statements, and material approvals.
  • Coordinate with design teams including electrical, architectural, and structural disciplines to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Attend and document inspections for off-site equipment and material verification, as needed.
  • Evaluate contractor’s proposed methods and schedules for mechanical testing and commissioning.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate project records.
  • Conduct performance testing and verify mechanical system functionality on site.
  • Enforce and promote safety standards to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UAE authority regulations and international standards related to mechanical engineering.
  • Stay informed about Dubai’s local materials, suppliers, and market trends.
