Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Inspector to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the compliance and excellence of mechanical systems in various construction projects throughout the city. Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and water supply, to ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and local building codes. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to document and verify the quality and quantity of work performed by contractors. Review and process technical submittals and inspection requests, taking necessary actions as required. Interpret package contract documents, detailed drawings, and specifications, including any associated updates. Monitor and document contractor manpower and equipment resources on a daily basis. Perform site supervision and inspections as directed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer. Prepare detailed reports on observed activities, including personnel, equipment, location, and methods utilized. Implement and monitor quality control procedures and site safety measures. Conduct site measurements and surveying checks as needed. Report any violations of health and safety regulations in construction works. Collaborate with project stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project quality standards are met. Qualifications Diploma in Engineering required; related degree in Engineering fields preferred for career progression. Minimum of 15 years of experience in Construction Supervision with a Consultancy, focusing on mechanical systems. Extensive knowledge of mechanical methodologies, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and water supply systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and building codes. Strong understanding of construction techniques and installation processes. Experience with various building types, particularly high-rise, mixed-use residential and commercial, retail, and hospitality projects. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise reports in English. Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment. In-depth knowledge of quality assurance and quality control procedures in construction. Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the construction industry, particularly in Saudi Arabia. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under pressure. Willingness to work on-site in various locations throughout Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
