Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

You will be working in an international team to provide engineering services in the area Energy and Power Plant Technologies. You are going to lead projects related to Mechanical Integrity analysis of Steam Turbines. In this role you are interfacing with our analytic team in India and are the point of contact for our customers. You will perform Mechanical Integrity assessments of Steam Turbine components including rotors, casing, valves and blades. Steady state stress analysis, assessment of differential expansions, start-up assessments, lifetime assessments. You will contribute to the development of appropriate ways of working, especially adherence to relevant standards. You will take the responsibility for the technical accuracy and quality of the work.
In addition, you will mentor our engineers and setup appropriate trainings in your field of expertise.

Required:

  • Working Experience in the field of Turbomachinery & Energy of 10…15 years.
  • Knowledge of mechanical integrity theory and principles and their application to steam turbine development and order execution for at least 5 years.
  • Knowledge of (preferably) Ansys or Abaqus finite element software.
  • Knowledge of steam turbine products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred:

  • Working experience in transient calculations (thermal and mechanical) for Turbomachines
  • Knowledge in Power Plant operation and its operational profiles
  • Field experience / Experience in Root Cause Analysis for typical lifetime related failure mode and its mechanism
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German.
