Description

ABS Group Consulting (ABSGC) is seeking to fill the role of Mechanical Integrity Specialist (MI) in the Asset Integrity group. This Specialist primarily provides operational support and improves the mechanical integrity program for ABSGC. The ideal candidate possesses an engineering degree, is self-motivated, and is willing to be an integral part of the AIM team. The successful candidate will have experience with MI of pressure vessels, storage tanks, piping systems, pressure relief devices, and rotating equipment in industrial settings, and therefore should be adept at field and office activities. Excellent verbal/non-verbal communications and technical report writing skills are required.

Responsibilities
  • Interfacing and providing leadership and support for capital projects, process engineering, and contractors supporting MI program development.
  • Lead MI program activities such as training process, project, and reliability engineers on MI processes and procedures.
  • Coordinating/consulting with client maintenance, operations, and project groups to deliver MI program deliverables.
  • Supporting the AIM team objectives
  • Integration of management systems supporting MI for fixed equipment, relief systems, and rotating equipment.
  • Supporting clientele in defining, implementing, and sustaining risk management initiatives identified to deliver continuous improvement and compliance with industry/regulatory changes associated with MI.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop mechanical integrity programs tailored to their operational needs.
  • Supporting audits and gap assessments related to MI programs for fixed equipment, relief systems, and rotating equipment.
  • Quality control checks/audits of work and deliverables for timeliness, accuracy, and adherence to MI program guidelines and procedures. Audits may include maintenance records and/or third-party vendor records relevant to the design or testing of relief devices.
  • Review client information to identify, track, and report MI trends on equipment.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to mechanical integrity.
  • Working collaboratively with other functional groups within the organization.
  • Provide strong collaboration support with the OGC sales team.
  • A solid commitment to safety and an active role in office and plant safety activities.
