Your Opportunity In this position as an intern, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a team of engineers and designers on multiple projects for a range of public and private sector clients. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, energetic individual who wants to challenge their abilities in a dynamic work environment. This position is intended to be 40 hours per week. The role of an intern is to perform a variety of assignments within the mechanical discipline under the direct supervision of a Senior Designer or Engineer. Tasks may include preparing drawings and assisting with the designs of mechanical systems including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, piping, chillers, boilers, steam, domestic water, and compressed air in industrial, pharmaceutical, commercial, education, institutional, and other types of facilities. Your Key Responsibilities Work closely with and assist Building Mechanical Engineers and Designers to prepare reports, design documents, and calculations. Perform engineering calculations using HVAC design software and Excel Use AutoCAD and Revit to prepare HVAC and plumbing drawings and details Learn to apply fundamental engineering principles to solve real-world problems Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams Participate in Summer Intern Design Project with interns of other building design disciplines
