Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: As a hands-on leader you will oversee and guide the team to manage daily maintenance tasks, including routine and defect maintenance, ensuring safe and efficient plant operation while adhering to safety, quality, environmental, and financial standards.
  • Safety Management: With a strong focus on safety, you will identify and address issues and risks to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Technical Guidance and Support: You’ll guide and mentor apprentices and other team members, while also collaborating with and monitoring contractor workers to ensure quality and efficiency when required.
  • General Maintenance Activities: Leading from the front, you’ll also carry out trade related duties such as preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, upgrades and installations to maximise the reliability and availability of the Power Station.
  • Team Development: You will enjoy mentoring and motivating your team members, enhancing their performance and professional development, as well as being confident in addressing any issues, and escalating as needed to the Maintenance Team Leader.
  • Coordination and Communication: In order to minimise plant downtime and ensure efficient execution of tasks, you will collaborate with teams and contractors to plan maintenance activities in alignment with business needs.
  • Process Improvements: Along with your team, you’ll assess current maintenance practices and propose strategies to boost efficiency and drive better performance.
  • System Utilisation: You will have experience using IT systems effectively monitor, assess and drive team and business performance.
