We are looking for an experienced, safety conscious Mechanical Maintainers to join our team at Cape Lambert. The purpose of this role will be to provide a safe and efficient facility through the execution of mechanical fault finding, breakdown repairs, planned and opportune maintenance.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and working in a collaborative community, the role will require you to:

  • Complete preventative/corrective/breakdown/operational maintenance for all equipment in the fixed plant area, including but not limited to, reclaimers, stackers, dumpers
  • Conduct routine inspections of fixed plant assets including automatic lubrication systems and determine repair action when required
  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness and comply with company policies and procedures
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects by increasing safety whilst reducing risk and cost
  • Utilise SAP to ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded, assigned correctly and completed to the relevant standard / specification
  • Isolate equipment for maintenance and operational tasks

What you’ll bring

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • A Mechanical Engineering/Fitting Trade Qualification
  • Laser Alignment, Pulley Changeout and Rigging experience will be highly regarded
  • Working at Heights, EWP, Forklift
  • A Manual C-class Australian driver’s licence (HR desirable)
