MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

A leading manufacturer in Cardiff are eager to welcome a Maintenance Engineer to join their rapidly growing Engineering team. The successful applicant will be joining a company who are set to utilise their growth and invest back into their Engineering department. In the role of Maintenance Engineer, you will be working on day’s 07:30 to 16:00 Monday to Friday. Please apply now as they are looking to hold interviews asap.

SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE MAINTENANCE ENGINEER:

· Mechanical and electrical skills, with a bias on mechanical skills; Pneumatics & pipework
· You will need to hold one of the following qualifications to be considered: City and Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3, apprentice trained etc
· Direct experience as a mechanical maintenance engineer
· Copper and metal pipework experience – with some plumbing experience required.
· Planned and reactive maintenance experience
· To ensure maximum machine availability, through effective planned preventative maintenance schedules.
· Together with other plant engineers and team leaders, actively strive to ensure that your time is orientated towards achieving machine maintenance hours on planned work
· Installation of machinery and site services equipment.
· Proactive work attitude and keen to get your hands dirty.
· Open to any background including forces.

Pay: £25,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

Maintenance Engineers support the production machinery including reactive, trouble-shooting and repair tasks, planned preventative maintenance, new installations and refurbishments. This would suit Maintenance Engineers who like variation, to work across a range of machinery and equipment, who aren’t afraid to apply themselves and learn.
You will be responsible for covering both proactive and reactive maintenance routines on both facilities and production equipment in a timely manner adhering to all Health and safety requirements.
We would consider Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers, however being that it is in a multi skilled environment, you must be willing to cover both electrical and mechanical work.
