MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Location: Rotherham
Salary: £46,535 to £50,107
Shifts: 4 on 4 off, rotating days and nights (2 days, 2 nights)
Industry: Manufacturing

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BTEC or NVQ Level 3 or higher in Mechanical Engineering
  • Basic electrical understanding, including two-phase motors
  • Experience in a medium to heavy manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical fault finding and problem-solving ability
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methods and planned maintenance systems
  • Comfortable in a hands-on maintenance environment

  • Carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across the site
  • Supporting breakdown response and ensuring rapid recovery of production
  • Working in line with health, safety, and environmental procedures
  • Ensuring all parts and spares are logged and recorded correctly
  • Driving continuous improvement and lean initiatives across the maintenance department
  • Basic fault finding on two-phase motors and related electrical components
