We are seeking an enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer / Fitter within Sapphire Paper Mill.
Applicants must have served a recognised apprenticeship and should have experience in a continuous process environment and preferably paper mills, or other heavy plant maintenance.
The successful applicant has 5 yrs post apprenticeship minimum experience and have good knowledge of all aspects of rotating plant, steam boilers/systems, pumps, hydraulics and piping/valves. Confident in all aspects of mechanical outfitting, including turning, milling, welding, installations and lifting.
You must be technically aware in fault finding with a variation of mechanical machinery and skilled in recognising how to repair quickly and safely.
Training will be given in areas that are needed for your continued development.
The company runs an on-call system for maintenance personnel and will require nightshift work and a 24hr response one week in 6. Also, flexibility in working practices is essential, this is rewarded with an excellent rate of pay and holiday entitlement.
Response time on call out is maximum 1 hour.

Pay: £39,400.00-£44,000.00 per year
