Company: Mitsubishi Films America (MFA) Greer, SC Job Description: Drive reliability and performance in advanced manufacturing We’re seeking a hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Engineer who enjoys solving complex equipment challenges and improving the reliability of critical production assets. In this role, you’ll lead mechanical maintenance and reliability initiatives that enhance safety, uptime, and cost efficiency across assigned manufacturing areas. You’ll work closely with operations, E&I, engineering, and maintenance teams to optimize equipment performance and deliver continuous improvement across the plant. What You’ll Do Provide mechanical engineering support for repair, maintenance, installation, and modification of manufacturing equipment Lead troubleshooting and reliability improvements for assigned film line and related systems Analyze equipment failures and implement root-cause solutions to improve uptime Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies and job plans Coordinate planned and unplanned maintenance work, including major shutdowns Lead small mechanical improvement and capital projects (drawings, BOMs, procedures) Drive safety, quality, productivity, and cost-reduction initiatives Partner with E&I and operations teams on equipment reliability and performance improvements Optimize spare parts strategy and mechanical MRO inventory Serve as a liaison between maintenance, engineering, construction, and production teams Provide technical guidance to mechanical maintenance crafts and technicians What You Bring B.S. in Mechanical Engineering required 3–6 years of mechanical maintenance or reliability experience in manufacturing Strong troubleshooting skills in rotating equipment, drive systems, and industrial machinery Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies Data-driven problem solving and root-cause analysis capability Ability to manage multiple priorities in a team-based plant environment Strong communication and collaboration skills Willingness to provide occasional off-hours technical support “The salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000.
