Description

Role: Mechanical Maintenance Manager
Experience: 10 years
Industry: Oil and Gas
Location: Delta State
Responsibilities

Carrying out maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment

  • Performing periodic inspections on plant, machinery, and automated systems
  • Scheduling planned and preventive maintenance work.
  • Ensuring that machinery and equipment are kept in good working order and meet

safety regulations by adopting strict adherence to the PTW system.

  • Intervening immediately in the event of breakdowns, failures, or malfunctions

by repairing and/or replacing broken or defective components to avoid exposing

man and property to unsafe practices.

  • Checking repaired components and machinery to ensure normal functionality has

been restored.

  • Documenting maintenance activities through preparing daily progress reports and

maintenance logs.

  • Travelling to client locations for equipment inspection, installation,

commissioning, and maintenance for CNG Daughter Stations.

  • Strategize on maintenance, work instructions and methods.
  • Establish maintenance strategies to install and commission equipment.
  • Analyse breakdowns, diagnose faults, and supervise time-critical equipment

repairs.

  • Offer technical expertise to maintenance people like supervisors, foremen,

fitters, and technicians.

  • Function as a project development member to maintain new equipment.
  • Oversee and control maintenance costs without compromising our documented

processes towards the environment and safety of our activities.

  • Track expenses and oversee the budget for maintenance.
  • Create and implement maintenance procedures with due regard for occupational

health and safety requirements.

  • Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve any

issues.

  • Plan and manage all repair and installation activities.

Minimum requirements: Experience & Attributes

  • Relevant higher education in Mechanical Engineering or any related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years’ proven experience working on projects and maintenance in the

oil & gas industry.

  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, especially Gas Compressors, Gas

engines, and other gas line processing equipment.

  • Familiarity with drafting and understanding blueprints and schematics
