Mechanical Maintenance Shift Technicians x 6
Closing date: 29th July 2025
2 days, 2 nights followed by 4 days off.
This is a shift-based role that will include days, nights, weekends and bank holidays. Full details of the shift patterns will be provided by our Recruiter prior to interview.

We’re looking for proactive Mechanical Maintenance Shift Technicians to join our team at our fast-paced chemical manufacturing site in Bradford. This is your chance to be part of a highly skilled maintenance team supporting a COMAH-regulated operation.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be responsible for executing planned, preventative, and reactive mechanical maintenance across a wide range of process plant equipment. From pump overhauls to seal fitting and equipment inspections, you’ll help ensure equipment uptime, plant reliability, and operational safety.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain, repair, and overhaul rotating equipment, pumps, valves, and related systems
  • Ensure high standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping (EHS & 5S)
  • Log maintenance activity and feedback in SAP
  • Diagnose faults and implement effective, long-term fixes
  • Support shutdowns, turnarounds, and compliance inspections
  • Work collaboratively with engineers and technicians to resolve issues
  • Engage in continuous learning to improve performance and reduce downtime

What You’ll Bring

  • Level 3 Mechanical Apprenticeship (or equivalent)
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance within a chemical or industrial setting
  • Solid knowledge of rotating equipment, seal systems, and process plant machinery
  • Familiar with ATEX, confined space entry, and mechanical safety standards
  • Confident using SAP and Microsoft Office; strong understanding of maintenance cycles and risk assessments
  • Self-motivated, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Willing and able to work at heights and in full PPE (incl. face-fit masks)

Desirable (but not essential):

  • COMAH site experience
