Gunnison Copper has an immediate employment opportunity for Mechanical Maintenance Technician at its operations at Johnson Camp Mine / Gunnison Project located in southeastern Arizona between the cities of Benson and Willcox.

POSITION DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS:

The Maintenance Technician will perform the duties of a skilled repair worker in the mechanical field, including performing routine and preventative maintenance on various operating equipment and systems for the SXEW Plant and Wellfield Operations. Experience with pumping systems is a plus including the following:

• Centrifugal pumps
• Vertical turbine pumps
• submersible pumps
• Wellfield maintenance including pulling and installing submersible pumps
• Well maintenance rig and / or crane truck operating
• Piping including stainless steel and HDPE

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform basic troubleshooting and evaluate problems with pumps, motors, valves, piping, gearboxes, rotary feeders, air compressors, and all other equipment in process plant and wellfield
• Perform basic machining and heavy machinery maintenance on all plant and wellfield equipment
• Remove, repair, and install mechanical components with intermediate troubleshooting
• Assist in maintaining, inspecting, and repairing industrial mechanical tools including equipment used onsite
• Complete requisitions for tools, supplies, materials, and equipment
• Assists in the completion of routine and non-routine repairs
• Inspects and evaluates work in progress, identifies any problem areas, and may direct remedial action
• Helps maintain an inventory of parts and materials
• Retain maintenance records and daily reports
• Maintains safety data sheets
• Performs other duties as assigned
• May be required to periodically work varying shifts to include days, nights and weekends.
