Description

Mechanical Service Manager needed for one of North America’s largest commercial truck tire dealerships, and suspension and mechanical repair facilities. This established location’s need is based in Dayton, OH (Huber Heights).   • As Mechanical Service Manager, you will supervise all aspects of a commercial medium and heavy-duty suspension repair shop, truck alignment, as well as mobile trailer readiness and repair.
  • Our successful manager will effectively achieve and maintain department goals concerning customer satisfaction, turnaround of repairs and equipment, gross profit, and technician productivity.
  • This role’s basic functions are to generate customer satisfaction by providing throughputs in our service areas, supplementing the department’s performance with internal and external customer parts sales.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Valid background check
  • Heavy duty truck repair, verifiable shop experience with truck and trailer suspensions highly preferred. Minimum 2 years hands on experience.
  • Must have mechanical aptitude
  • Computer literate
  • Develop practices which ensure positive teammate work culture
  • Motivated to get it done!
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Managing and coordinating flow and scheduling of repairs by maximizing technician efficiencies.
  • Establish and enforce a pricing policy with the location’s General Manager that balances volume, customer loyalty, and the cost of doing business.
  • Regularly monitor mechanic-technician performance, review and analyze this data, and take corrective action when applicable.
  • Supervise and control parts inventory.
  • Promotes safe work habits and ensures safety policies are followed.
