Are you a visionary mechanical engineer with a passion for leadership, strategy, and building something meaningful? We’re looking for a Mechanical Principal to join a growing team in Ottawa, someone who’s ready to play a key role in shaping the future of the firm.

What You’ll Do:

  • Leadership & Strategy: Be part of the core leadership team, with a stake in the business and a voice in key strategic decisions that guide the direction of the firm.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside a passionate, multidisciplinary team that values open communication, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Project Delivery: Lead the mechanical design on complex building projects (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection), ensuring high-quality technical delivery across a wide range of sectors.
  • Business Development: Take a hands-on role in bringing in new work, nurturing client relationships, and helping grow the firm’s project portfolio.
  • Mentorship: Support and mentor junior and intermediate staff, fostering a strong culture of growth and development.
  • Operational Input: Participate in high-level decision-making including business planning, operations, and market expansion strategies.

What you bring:

  • 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in the building systems space.
  • P. Eng designation in Ontario (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Proven leadership experience—whether in project management, team leadership, or business development.
  • A strong network in the industry, with a track record of winning and delivering projects.
  • Experience using Revit and familiarity with relevant mechanical design tools.
  • A growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit.
