We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Process QA/QC Inspector to support quality assurance and quality control activities within our semiconductor facility. The role ensures that all mechanical systems, process utilities, and installations meet project specifications, industry codes, and customer requirements. This position is critical to maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance across semiconductor manufacturing infrastructure.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • 5+ years’ experience as a QA/QC Inspector in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, or advanced manufacturing facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical piping systems, ASME codes, ISO standards, and QA/QC procedures.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor facility process utilities (PCW, CDA, HVAC, exhaust) is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional project environment.

EDUCATION / LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or equivalent technical field is preferred but not required.
  • Certifications such as ASNT, CWI, or ISO 9001 lead auditors are a plus.
  • Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections and quality checks on mechanical process systems, including chilled water, process cooling water, heating water, compressed air, vacuum, exhaust, and HVAC systems.
  • Verify installation work against engineering drawings, technical specifications, project procedures, and regulatory codes
  • Conduct material verification and ensure correct usage of pipes, valves, fittings, and equipment according to approved submittals.
  • Monitor welding, piping installation, pressure testing, flushing, and system cleaning for compliance with QA/QC standards.
  • Document inspection findings, prepare quality reports, and maintain accurate records for turnover packages.
  • Identify and report non-conformances, support root cause analysis, and verify corrective actions are implemented.
  • Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and project engineers to resolve technical and quality-related issues.
  • Participate in commissioning readiness checks and verify system completion prior to start-up and testing.
  • Ensure all QA/QC activities comply with safety standards, cleanroom protocols, and semiconductor industry requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in alignment with the responsibilities of the role.
