Field Engineering is NOV Aftermarket's engineering department and delivers leading and innovative upgrades to a wide range of NOV drilling equipment. We want to strengthen our mechanical group and are looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team in Kristiansand DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES As a Mechanical Project Engineer within the Field Engineering department, you will have the possibility to work with a wide variety of drilling products. You will join a team of experienced engineers who are dedicated to deliver the best service possible to our clients. The position is office based, but some travel may be required from time to time. You will be responsible for the mechanical aspect of upgrade projects. This includes: * Mechanical design (3D and 2D) * Create and revise drawings and documentation  * Prepare drawings and specifications for production * Technical clarifications from workshops and suppliers * Participate in project meetings (internal and external) * Participate in testing and verification * Support our Sales Engineers with technical input and bid documentation QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS * Master or Bachelor degree within Mechanical engineering or similar, such as Mechatronics and Marine engineering. * Experience with mechanical design * Good technical understanding * Experience with NOV drilling equipment will be an advantage * Good verbal and written communication skills in Norwegian and English CHARACTERISTICS We are looking for someone that is positive and hard-working, with good abilities to work both independently and with others.  You must be comfortable with a high workload and have the ability to handle several ongoing projects at the same time.
