We are a Midlands-based building services contractor specialising in mechanical and electrical installation and maintenance across commercial, industrial, and healthcare sectors. We are seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to take responsibility for completing a key healthcare project in the Black Country.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven track record as a Mechanical Project Manager within the building services/construction sector.
  • Experience of healthcare projects is highly advantageous.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage financial aspects of projects.
  • SSSTS/SMSTS certification.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

This is a hands-on role for an experienced Project Manager who can step in and ensure the project is successfully delivered. The primary objective is to drive the mechanical aspects of the scheme over the line, ensuring deadlines are met, quality standards are achieved, and compliance is maintained.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take full responsibility for the completion of the healthcare project within the contract period.
  • Oversee and coordinate all on-site mechanical personnel and subcontractors.
  • Manage procurement and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Monitor programme, costs, and progress, taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, HTM guidelines, and H&S requirements.
  • Provide clear leadership, problem-solving, and direction to ensure the project finishes on time and within budget.
  • Report progress to senior management and liaise with the client and stakeholders.
