Description

Our client, a leading contractor in the building services sector, is currently seeking a Mechanical Project Manager for a large-scale project based in the Cork area. This role will involve overseeing the mechanical delivery of a high-profile development, ensuring all works are completed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing subcontractors, coordinating with design teams, and driving project timelines. The preferred candidate will have strong mechanical project management experience, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in delivering complex mechanical installations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical project management, ideally on large-scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, installation practices, and industry standards.
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Full eligibility to work in Ireland and a valid driver’s licence.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the full mechanical scope of the project from pre-construction through to handover.
  • Coordinate with design teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Oversee site activities and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget.
  • Review and approve technical submittals, drawings, and specifications.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Manage procurement of mechanical materials and equipment.
  • Ensure quality control procedures are implemented and adhered to on-site.
  • Resolve technical and logistical issues as they arise during the project lifecycle.
