Description

We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Pump Engineer (Field Based) to join our esteemed, market leading client, specialising in pumping equipment solutions, boasting over sixty years of industry expertise around the Stoke-on-Trent area!
You’ll work alongside a skilled Electrical Engineer, forming a dynamic duo responsible for addressing breakdowns and delivering top-notch mechanical servicing, installation, and commissioning across a variety of pumping systems.
This role is ideal for a mechanically biased engineer with a background in pumping equipment, valves, pipework, drainage, utilities, or water treatment. Flexibility is key, as occasional overnight stays may be required (though infrequent).

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Essential

  • Previous experience working with pumps, valves, pipework or similar equipment
  • A valid UK driving licence

Preferred

  • Mechanical engineering qualifications
  • A background in Utility Maintenance, Water Treatment, Drainage etc
  • CSCS card
  • First Aid trained
  • Confined Space Training (CSTS)
Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical servicing, installation, and commissioning of equipment including pumps, valves, pipework, pumping stations and kiosks
  • Maintain and monitor equipment for optimal performance
  • Troubleshoot and conduct repairs efficiently
  • Respond to breakdowns and service requests
  • Produce detailed site reports and documentation
  • Comply with all health and safety protocols
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally
  • Maintain and operate a fully stocked company van
