Bonatti Group is one of the leading players in the energy sector. We are contractor specialized in the construction of oil and gas, water pipelines. We work in four continents with 10.000 employees all over the world. Bonatti Dutch Branch has been established in November 2023 and engages in the Porthos CO2 Project for the construction of a compression station to stock CO2 in an empty gas field in the North Sea. The project will last till April 2026, and it will involve approximately two hundred people. This project falls under a general strategy of environmental and climate change, which will lead the Port of Rotterdam to reach the Zero emission target. The position will be based at the Maasvlakte2, the Netherlands.

POSITION:

We are looking for a Mechanical Quality Inspector to supervise and inspect mechanical installation and testing activities on-site and by subcontractors, ensuring compliance with approved procedures, ITPs, specifications, and relevant codes and standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in QA/QC.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical installation, piping, and equipment testing on construction sites.
  • Experience with Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and project documentation management.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards, codes, and specifications.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage workload for mechanical activities.
  • Implement the project quality plan, including inspections, testing, and documentation, ensuring compliance with IFC drawings, applicable standards, and specifications.
  • Ensure proper installation of piping, equipment, and related supports.
  • Monitor inspection and testing activities, adhering to environmental, health, and safety procedures and maintenance rules.
  • Supervise construction performance to ensure compliance with work standards and project specifications.
  • Conduct proactive inspections to minimize discrepancies and reduce non-conformance costs and delays.
  • Coordinate with construction teams to resolve issues and maintain project schedule.
  • Initiate and verify corrective actions for non-conformities and ensure closure of NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).
  • Inspect and witness works according to approved Inspection Test Plans, including client/contractor hold and witness points.
  • Ensure effective coordination with clients regarding inspection, testing, and documentation.
  • Prepare internal punch lists and coordinate with construction teams for inspection and closure.
  • Witness and liaise with vendors/contractors for related equipment testing activities.
  • Maintain all Quality Control reports and documentation.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and HSE project requirements throughout all stages of execution.
