JOB DESCRIPTION:

Mechanical Reliability Engineering Technician, Bikes & Scooters

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Technical diploma (DEC, DEP or equivalent) in mechanical or electrical engineering fields
  • 3 years of experience as a technician in an engineering lab or similar manufacturing product environment.
  • Must have the experience in reading engineering assembly drawings.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical issues.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience following SOPs, making plots/charts and making simple presentations in either MS suite or Gdocs.
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks and cyclic testing.
  • Able to work independently without supervision.
  • Ability to lift/move 50lbs of equipment as required in a warehouse environment.
  • Able to communicate in English and French effectively.
  • Valid Canadian drivers license.
    Job Type: Fixed term contract
    Contract length: 10 months
    Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Execute engineering validation and reliability testing for the design of new micro mobility hardwares.
  • Work closely with reliability and design engineers on understanding of reliability specifications, reliability test setup/procedures, execution of reliability tests as planned and report of test results in a timely manner
  • Perform bike/scooter/station level environmental and mechanical cycle and repetitive tests.
  • Help fabricate module level test fixtures for non-standard reliability tests per design provide by the design and engineering team
  • Support maintenance and repair for prototype test fixtures.
  • Track and document test reports to be shared with engineering teams.
  • Able to follow safety guidelines both in the workshop and when out on test rides.
