Description Job Overview Mechanical Repair Technician level 1 is primarily responsible for diagnosing, fixing problems, and testing mechanical components in various electronic units. Repair work will occupy much of your time, and you will use various pieces of equipment to troubleshoot, test, and repair mechanical components. Successful technicians will be able to quickly and consistently repair mechanisms based on scheduled work orders and standard repairs. Responsibilities and Duties Follow proper troubleshooting skills and procedures. Utilize systems in place for service call tickets, parts usage, and transfer of inventory. Utilize websites, technical manuals and publications, and handbooks, to keep current with new equipment and enhancements to old. Repair and test mechanical components in accordance with quality standards Basic technical skills and knowledge of Soldering/De-soldering, Identifying electronic components, making cables, reading mock schematics, and problem-solving. Performs other related duties as required Requirements Qualifications No prior experience is required. Soldering/Desoldering techniques are required (Thru Hole/SMD) Good work ethic with good attendance Technicians must be able to work in a team environment. Must be able to sit/stand for long periods of time Must be able to lift heavy objects Ability to use a variety of hand tools
