Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, you will work across mine sites in Central Queensland supporting Caterpillar Draglines and Electric Rope Shovels. This role suits experienced mining tradespeople who take pride in safety quality and keeping critical equipment running at peak performance. You will represent dealership standards on site delivering reliable high quality outcomes in demanding mining environments. What you’ll be doing As a Mechanical Service Technician at Hastings Deering, you will: Deliver quality service – Service and maintain Caterpillar mining equipment across multiple customer sites including Draglines and Electric Rope Shovels Follow the right procedures – Diagnose faults and complete repairs using up to date Caterpillar service information procedures instructions and specifications Do it once, do it right – Follow dealership quality standards using approved check sheets quality control procedures and guidelines Get you and your mates home safe – Complete all work safely and on time while meeting site safety and operational requirements Keep customers informed – involve customers in major repair decisions and provide clear updates on job progress.
