Description

Kirk’s Trail Tire in Lethbridge is looking for an experienced Mechanical Service Writer to join our team. This role is the link between our customers and our mechanics — making sure every job is quoted, scheduled, and completed smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and assess their service needs.
  • Provide accurate quotes and explain required repairs or maintenance.
  • Schedule service appointments and manage work order flow.
  • Communicate clearly with customers about timelines and costs.
  • Work closely with mechanics to ensure they have the correct parts and information.
  • Handle parts purchasing and inventory as required.
  • Maintain strong customer service and build lasting relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Service Writer, Service Advisor, or in a related mechanical/automotive role (required).
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Solid mechanical knowledge to understand and explain repair needs.
  • Ability to organize workflow, multitask, and stay on top of scheduling.
  • Experience with parts purchasing and ordering.
  • Computer skills for invoicing, quoting, and scheduling systems.
  • Valid driver’s license.
