About the role Based in the Adelaide CBD, this Mechanical Shutdown Planner position plays a key role in preparing, coordinating and optimising mechanical shutdown activities for LNG assets. This is a 6‑month fixed‑term role with a high likelihood of extension, supporting upcoming shutdown work scopes and collaborating closely with both UGL and client planning, maintenance and engineering teams. Your work ensures shutdowns are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule through detailed planning, accurate job packaging and effective coordination of labour, materials and equipment. Coordinate materials, resources and vendor requirements to ensure readiness for execution. Work closely with Maintenance, Reliability and Engineering teams to clarify scope, constraints and priorities. Monitor schedule progress, identify risks and support optimisation of work sequencing. Ensure shutdown planning meets safety, quality and compliance expectations. Maintain accurate data and progress updates within SAP and relevant planning systems. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, efficiency and shutdown readiness. About you Minimum 5 years’ experience planning shutdowns or major maintenance events within LNG operations. Mechanical trade or engineering qualifications highly regarded. Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance in oil & gas or heavy industry environments. SAP experience preferred (maintenance planning, work management, materials). High attention to detail with strong scheduling, job‑pack development and coordination capability. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
