Position: Mechanical Sourcing Engineer Qualification: B.E. – Mechanical Engineering Experience: 3–5 years in relevant field Job Description: The Mechanical Sourcing Engineer will be responsible for the identification, development, and management of suppliers for mechanical components. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring cost-effective procurement, timely delivery, and quality assurance of mechanical parts and assemblies. Key Responsibilities: Mechanical Component Development & Sourcing Identify, develop, and qualify vendors for mechanical components. Collaborate with design and production teams for component feasibility and manufacturability. Commodity Expertise Experience with Sheet Metal, Plastic Parts, Rubber Components, Fasteners, and Labels. Perform cost analysis and estimation for these commodities. Costing & Negotiation Conduct supplier cost breakdown analysis. Lead cost negotiations and finalize pricing with suppliers to achieve target cost objectives. Tooling & Mold Development Manage development of tools, dies, and molds, including cost evaluation and supplier coordination. Vendor Development & Management Identify vendors for special processes and ensure supplier capability and capacity. Maintain supplier performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives. Compliance & Standards Ensure adherence to international standards (ISO / AS) related to supply chain and sourcing. Procurement Process & Delivery Execute purchasing processes and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time availability of components for production. Communication & Leadership Demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills for effective supplier management and cross-functional collaboration. Key Skills Required: Vendor identification & development Cost analysis and negotiation Knowledge of tooling and mold processes Understanding of supply chain and purchasing processes Strong analytical and communication skills Proficiency in MS Office / ERP systems preferred
