(Saudi National Only) Grade: G6 Location: RIYADH HQ RSAF Working hours: full time Advert closing: 23/11/2025 Responsibilities · Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reported information pertaining to the Tornado fleet & provide statistical analyses of reported information as required. · Investigate, propose and co-ordinate solutions to overcome airworthiness or ground safety problems highlighted by Base Safety reports, faxes or signals. · Perform analysis of mechanical systems. · Review, evaluate and progress technical submissions, Cost Proposals and Statements of Work on all Tornado mechanical systems. · Draft and co-ordinate Directorate responses to Prime Contractor originated ECP’s and TCTO’s & draft, review and co-ordinate RSAF generated TCTO’s relevant to Tornado mechanical systems. · Prepare Statements of Requirements for the design and performance of mechanical systems and equipment. · Participate in research, development and implementation of programs to improve safety, reliability and maintainability of mechanical systems, subsystems and components. Monitor test programs associated with mechanical systems and equipment & evaluate test data to identify problems and/or to verify performance. · Prepare RSAF staff correspondence (reports, letters, presentations etc.) to applicable organizations, internal or external to the RSAF, on Tornado fleet and mechanical systems issues. · Participate in mechanical system requirement reviews, preliminary and critical design reviews, integration readiness reviews and system acceptance reviews. · Research problems discovered in service and developed solutions. · Work with other maintenance and engineering disciplines and management teams to collectively meet requirements. · Coordinate with project work teams to ensure adherence to policies, achievement of quality targets and delivery to schedule milestones. · Review and recommend RSAF authorizations of maintenance and engineering modifications. Progress approval of improvement initiatives through external design organizations and technical authorities. · Perform studies and participate in research, development and implementation of programs to improve safety, reliability and maintainability. · Support, advise and assist RSAF officers at meetings and participate in design and programme management reviews & accompany and support RSAF Staff officers at briefings and meetings Job Requirements: Qualified to Degree level or equivalent (HND/HNC) in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Master’s Degree or higher and Chartered Engineer status is desirable. A minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of systems engineering, maintenance and management of civil and/or military aircraft and equipment. A good all-round awareness and knowledge of Tornado aircraft and particularly mechanical systems. Detailed knowledge of maintenance management, statistical, analytical and presentation techniques. Fully conversant with the concepts of maintainability, reliability, system diagnosis and failure modes, design procedure and industrial processes.
