ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE OF THE MECHANICAL SUPERVISOR:

  • Considerable hands-on experience at technician level, recognized as fully competent with all necessary authorities and certifications in place.
  • Completed platform-specific aircraft training aligned with operational requirements.
  • Successfully trained in core trade principles, ensuring a solid foundation of technical expertise.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE MECHANICAL SUPERVISOR:

  • City & Guilds 2675 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance, or an NVQ Level 3 qualification in a related aeronautical discipline.
  • Completion of a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship—preferably in Aeronautical Engineering—or an equivalent military apprenticeship or qualification.

THE ROLE

As a Mechanical Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will play a vital role in enhancing operational flexibility by supporting flight activities during the most demanding phases of the flying schedule.
Day-to-day, you’ll demonstrate strong analytical skills in diagnosing faults across equipment and assemblies, adhering to established diagnostic protocols while contributing to effective team leadership.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Evaluates aircraft component and system performance, diagnosing faults and applying technical expertise to repair, modify, or improve procedures.
  • Oversees team maintenance activities, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Maintains a proactive and adaptable approach to responsibilities, responding effectively to direction.
  • Ensures personal and team competency in aircraft and component tasks.
  • Carries out support duties within the maintenance facility to uphold compliance and mandated procedures (e.g. oversight checks, tooling and test equipment control).

This role is full time working 36 hours per week and is based on site at Anglesey, North Wales.
