Job Description Mechanical Technician The Mechanical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability. Install, assemble, and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs efficiently Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals Conduct inspections and routine checks to ensure equipment functionality Replace or repair defective parts such as bearings, belts, valves, pumps, and motors Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards Maintain maintenance records, logs, and reports Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to improve equipment performance Assist in equipment upgrades, modifications, and commissioning activities Qualifications Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Good communication and teamwork skills Attention to detail and safety awareness
