WHAT’S THE JOB ABOUT?

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to maintain the integrity of mechanical systems across our COMAH Top Tier and Lower Tier storage terminals and pipeline systems. You’ll play a key role in ensuring operational safety, plant availability, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical systems, ensuring 98% plant availability.
  • Lead and document planned maintenance schedules using the company’s asset management system.
  • Respond to breakdowns, including participation in a 24/7 call-out rota.
  • Conduct fault-finding on mechanical and EC&I systems within competency.
  • Supervise and issue permits under BPA’s Permit to Work system.
  • Support engineering projects from planning through execution.
  • Engage with emergency services and statutory bodies during incidents.
  • Source and manage suppliers for maintenance requirements.
