I’m looking for a skilled Mechanical Technician to join a specialist manufacturer of cutting-edge equipment, based in Kirkbymoorside. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established engineering business that leads the way in the design and production of complex mechanical and hydraulic systems.

The Mechanical Technician will be

• Assembling mechanical and hydraulic components, subassemblies, and full product builds
• Manufacturing and testing hydraulic hoses and pipework
• Carrying out proof pressure and functional testing across a wide range of subsea tooling and systems
• Completing load testing and setup of subsea equipment
• Liaising with design, planning, and quality teams to ensure project deadlines and standards are met
• Accurately completing all required documentation – including quality control records, timesheets, and non-conformance reports
• Supporting general workshop maintenance and keeping work areas clean and safe
• Following all health and safety procedures, ensuring risk assessments are in place and adhered to

I would love to see you CV if you

• Previous experience in mechanical assembly – ideally from a marine, oil & gas or similar background
• Ability to work from mechanical and hydraulic drawings
• Experience with hydraulic hose and hard pipe assembly is a strong advantage
• Apprenticeship or hands-on mechanical training preferred
• Confident communicator who takes pride in high standards of work
