Our Hedland Operations team is looking for a skilled and motivated Fixed Plant Mechanical Technician to keep our operations running smoothly and safely.   This is your opportunity to grow your career in a supportive environment, work with cutting-edge infrastructure, and be part of a company that’s making history in decarbonisation.  Key Responsibilities Maintaining and repairing a wide range of mechanical assets across our Non-Processing Infrastructure (NPI) Looking for smarter, safer, and more efficient ways to get the job done Living Fortescue’s values and prioritising safety above all else Working alongside a close-knit, positive team that values collaboration and respect Taking ownership of your work while contributing to our shared success  Qualifications and Experience Australian Recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate WA C Class (or higher) Driver’s Licence Experience in mining, resources, or heavy industry (5+ years preferred) Strong problem-solving skills with a safety-first mindset Clear, confident communication and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Solid knowledge of water supply pumps   Bonus points if you have: Experience with diesel fuel supply infrastructure Knowledge of Cummins power generation systems     Why Join Fortescue?
