Job Description
Joining us as a Technician will mean carrying out motor vehicle servicing, diagnosis and repairs to approved standards as well as delivering unbeatable customer service every time.
· To attain manufacturers’ servicing and repair times.
· To note and report all components, materials and consumable used.
· Development of personal knowledge and experience in order to improve, profitability, customer satisfaction and efficiency.
· To ensure vehicles are thoroughly examined and to reports all servicing requirements and associated work noticed whilst working on the vehicle to the Aftersales Manager.
· To ensure all chargeable labour, components and workshop consumables are recorded on the job card, and where possible work within the manufacturers recommended repair times.
· Ensure work carried out to MOT and/or manufacturers safety standards.
· To ensure optimum use of technical knowledge and skills to achieve effective, economic and safe service/repair of customers vehicles.
You will have a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair as well as a full and valid UK driving licence. Previous diagnostic experience would be an advantage and an understanding of automotive systems and functionalities. You will be used to working as a part of a team to deliver excellent customer service and demonstrate an honest and diligent approach to work. Being in a busy workshop, you will have a flexible approach to time keeping and pay attention to the finer details.
Salary is dependent on experience.
