Description

We are looking for mechanical technician to take part in and individually carry out daily maintenance activities of plant equipment on shifts and preventive maintenance (PM) , breakdown maintenance (BDM) of rotary and static equipment as per Standard Maintenance Procedure (SMP) and Good Engineering Practices.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education/ Certification: 2-year Diploma or Technical school/ Industrial Training Certificate ( years program) in Mechanical discipline.
  • Work Experience: Five (5) years of relevant experience in chemical/ petrochemical industry.
  • others(Training/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities):Good knowledge of operating computer; capability to read engineering drawings, technical specifications and layouts; Knowledge of maintenance methodologies, critical spare-parts, and Safety Permit System

Responsibilities
  • Perform annual and scheduled preventive maintenance activities like repairs, dismantling, assembling, troubleshooting, overhauling, and aligning of all rotary equipment in the workshop and site as well.
  • Perform inspections like the Mechanic Run Test (MRT) and maintenance of rotary equipment such as pumps, agitators, blowers, compressors, kilns, fans, steam turbines, gear boxes, conveyors, and cooling tower fans on the plant site.
  • To perform the maintenance work as per the Condition Monitoring report given by the Sr. Mechanical Technician (Condition Monitoring) in order to maintain equipment in good working condition.
  • Perform maintenance of various types of valves, piping systems, and accessories of the rotary equipment.
  • Perform inspection and maintenance of static equipment such as Vessels. Silos, Heat Exchangers, Reactors, Evaporators, Distillation Towers and Condensers in the plant site.
  • Perform maintenance of utility packages/ equipment like Chiller, Boiler & steam Systems, Air Compressor, Cooling Tower, DM water plants, and WWTP plants.
  • Perform maintenance of material handling equipment like crane, forklift, loaders etc.
  • look Listen Feel Check and observe the operation of static and rotary equipment for any abnormalities in order to report to superior for corrective action.
  • Suggest modifications needed for the Improvement of equipment performance, based on the observations during the installation, repairing and overhauling of all rotatory and static equipment.
  • Assist the Sr. Technician in identifying the root-causes for failures, suggesting corrective actions needed for the improvement of equipment availability, and the spare-parts requirements.
  • Perform erection, installation, and commissioning activities as and when required and also to provide technical measurements, reports, completion status for the assigned work to the Superior.
  • Assist in cross-functional teams like Electrical and Instrument sections for machineries troubleshooting, as Instructed by the Superior.
  • Attend Training Programs conducted by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), the HSE Department, as well as technical Authorities as and when required.
  • Adhere to Gulf Fluor HSE Policies, procedures and controls in order to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance and to carry out the Jobs without any accidents, through the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system and proper use of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Participate in job safety analysis (JSA) activities and Tool Box Talk (TBT) to ensure proper and safe utilization of the Mechanical Safety System.
