Description
Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on rotating equipment (centrifugal pumps, gearboxes, compressors, turbines, motors). Conduct alignment and balancing of rotating machinery using precision tools (dial indicators, laser alignment systems). Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out root cause analysis to prevent recurrence. Support installation and commissioning of new rotating equipment. Read and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, and P&IDs. Ensure compliance with permit-to-work systems, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), and HSE protocols. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment performance. Collaborate with engineers and supervisors on equipment upgrades and modifications. Requirements Qualifications & Skills Diploma / Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related trade. Minimum 5 years’ experience in oil & gas or heavy industrial projects, with proven expertise in rotating equipment. Strong knowledge of machinery installation, alignment, and mechanical fitting techniques. Familiarity with offshore safety standards and PTW systems. Ability to work with precision measuring instruments. Team-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
