Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and driven Mechanical Technician to support the build and modification of special-purpose vehicles. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mining vehicles, heavy commercial vehicles, or defence platforms, and a trade background such as boilermaker, heavy diesel mechanic, or fabricator.
You will be responsible for supporting prototype builds, vehicle upfits, mechanical integration, and workshop coordination. This is a hands-on role working closely with engineers, technicians, and workshop leadership to ensure quality outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Diesel Mechanics, Boiler making, or similar
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, fabrication or similar
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to work from drawings and specifications
  • Experience with electrical wiring and electrical systems desirable
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
