ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • A recognised apprenticeship or training scheme
  • A minimum City & Guilds or equivalent, with ONC or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in maintenance support activities, preferably with experience of multi-skilling
Responsibilities
  • Take personal responsibility for safety and adhere to Petrofac’s ‘Eight Golden Rules’.
  • Live’ our Petrofac Values and apply them in day-to-day work.
  • Ensure essential mechanical equipment is maintained for maximum availability.
  • Identify early performance deterioration and take the necessary action to prevent plant shutdown.
  • Diagnose and rectify faults to enhance maximum availability.
  • Collect data and information required for condition monitoring and preventative maintenance.
  • Carry out planned maintenance programmes on a wide range of equipment with emphasis on compressor, generators, diesel engines, pumps and hydraulics.
  • Install and commission new equipment as directed.
  • Operate as part of an integrated maintenance team and undertake maintenance in order to minimise production disruptions.
  • Maintain comprehensive records and logs.
  • Assist other trades and disciplines as required within the limits and capabilities and experience.
  • Maintain fire-fighting and mechanical safety equipment in accordance with statutory regulations.
  • Work carried out, follows statutory and company procedures.
  • Perform in an emergency response role as defined in the company procedures.
  • Seek to improve maintenance performance by the application of appropriate tactics; RCM, skills and experience.
  • Implement the planned maintenance schedule and maintain accurate records.
  • Safeguard the availability and operating condition so that production targets are achieved.
  • Ensure stock of ready use mechanical spares are maintained and highlight any new items which are required to maintain critical spares stock.
