Job Description Role Overview This individual will play a critical role in testing mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring our systems meet stringent performance, safety, and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on personality, a passion for learning new systems and processes, and the ability to contribute to verification & validation of our products following safe laboratory practices. Key Responsibilities Create, execute, and maintain test plans to verify and validate new product designs. Specify and design test fixtures necessary to perform testing and collaborate into specifying manufacturing test requirements for product industrialization. To be responsible for Lab calibration, liaising on closing safety spots, assist in implementing Global Test Delivery initiatives. Handle ISO 9001and IMS 14001 audit for test lab, Steer 5S & Health Safety in lab. Conduct regular Safety walks in lab. To Create Safety Risk assessment of Test setups foreseeing potential Hazards and identifying suitable control measures. Mechanical/ Control System Testing and Assembly: Perform testing of Mechanical & control systems and components in lab environments, ensuring they meet required specifications and standards. Ability to troubleshoot basic control systems and test systems. Assemble mechanical and electrical components for preparing test setups ensuring proper fit and function. Ability to read and follow schematics of electrical and mechanical circuits. Continuous Improvement: Participate in the development and improvement of processes related to systems testing, assembly, and deployment. Assist in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Projects Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of test results, assembly processes, and any issues encountered during the testing phase. Ability to present the findings. Ability to analyse test results to provide necessary feedback to the development team. Vendor Coordination & Parts Verification. Core Technical Skills Ability to define accurate test requirements for positive and negative test scenarios, the equipment required and the process to follow Understand the purpose of test and its influence on the development lifecycle. Strong knowledge of Risk assessment - identifying hazards and evaluating any associated risks within the test system or setup. Aware of Safe laboratory Practices and Procedures-Ability to create Standard operating procedures for test equipment. Exposure to Product testing standards or compliance (e.g., temperature, humidity, EMC, Product related). Understanding of relevant industry standards and certification requirements, verifying that the measurement techniques align and are traceable Soft Skills & Attributes Excellent technical communication and documentation skills. Strong hands-on aptitude and willingness to learn new systems and processes. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specifications and guidelines. Ownership-driven, deadline-focused, and adaptable in fast-paced environments. Collaborative team player with a continuous learning mindset. Uses experimentation in a sound manner Qualifications Education: B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering (regular). Experience: 3-5 years in mechanical/electromechanical product testing, preferably in industrial sectors
